Goodwill Superstore Grand Opening in Chicopee

Goodwill Industries of the Springfield Hartford Area, Inc. proudly announces the Grand Opening of its new Goodwill Super Store located at 1604 Memorial Drive in Chicopee. All area residents are invited to enjoy Goodwill’s Grand Opening Celebration at the new store location in the Fairview Plaza on Friday, October 10 from 9:00am – 8:00pm. A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will kick-off the day long festivities that will include a live raffle, prizes and special discount shopping for customers.
The new 7,000 square foot super store will mark Goodwill’s second retail location in Chicopee and will display an enhanced shopping experience. Customers who seek quality, low-cost retailing will enjoy a clean, brightly lit environment with wide aisles and superior service. Goodwill’s Director of Business Development David Minnuto states, “Our new Chicopee location is another example of Goodwill rising above traditional thrift stores in becoming a low-cost retailing leader by providing high value goods at a price shoppers desire”.
Goodwill’s expanding presence in Chicopee offers both economic and social services to the local community. With soaring energy prices and a plunging stock market on the horizon, a local Goodwill Superstore gives Chicopee residents the ability to outfit their families and homes at an affordable price. As a non-profit organization, Goodwill’s mission is, “Creating a better community through partnerships in employment, education and life enrichment”. All proceeds from Goodwill retail stores provide vital funding to Goodwill’s educational and career services for local residents with disabilities and disadvantages. Chicopee residents wishing to donate items to Goodwill may do so by visiting either store location in Chicopee; 1604 Memorial Drive and 355 Front Street, or any of Goodwill’s five other store locations. Attendants will gladly accept your donated goods and provide a tax receipt.
