Residential Services

It is the purpose of Goodwill Industries residential services to support individuals with disabilities to achieve their dreams, maximize their potential and to live full lives in their communities by achieving valued social roles.

Goodwill's residential services support adults with disabilities in either Shared Living or Adult Family Care.

Shared Living:

An individual receives supports in a family/home setting where a Shared Living Provider (SLP) supports the person to live as independently as possible in the community. Individuals and families, or single people, are matched for compatibility and live together in their shared home. A case manager, who helps them to support their housemate as fully and appropriately as possible, supports the SLP.

Adult Family Care:

The Adult Family Care program provides homes for adults who cannot live alone safely. The program offers this service to adults who would prefer to live in a home setting rather than in a nursing home or other institution.  Referrals can be made by doctors, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities and by the adult or their family. The adult has a private room, all meals, and assistance with activities of daily living such as dressing, bathing, medication management and other individually defined needs.  Adult Family Care allows disabled adult to remain in and a part of their community while recieving professional nursing and social support.
